Traveling across the country

April 18, 2011 · Posted in Auto, travel · Comment

Are your plans when you retire? Do you have some dreams? In my case, someday when we retire, we want to travel across the country. First, I want to buy a recreational vehicle. My husband and I want to travel from state to state driving a recreational vehicle. In this manner, we do not have to stay in a hotel. We would be able to save money. We can just stay in the RV. We can cook, watch tv, and relax in the rv at our convenient time. Recreational vehicles are great for travelling or road trips. They are multi-purpose. You can even use it for camping. It is just so much fun.

I have been looking up some recreational vehicles online. I came across Winnebago by arbogastrvs.com, this rv is really cool. I have been looking up some rvs lately just to get myself familiarized with recreational vehicles. I did not know that there are different types of recreational vehicles until I saw them online. The Internet is such a great tool for information. That’s why I love having Internet at home. If you want to look up something, I can easily find it online.

Anyhow, we are thinking of buying a used winnebago vista someday. I always like the look of winnebago vista recreation vehicle. It is so sleek and fancy. Of course, we want to pamper ourselves on our retirement. By that time, our kids are going to settle down with their own lives. Traveling is one of my dreams. I really want to travel across the country and see different things. I think it is going to be fun. Don’t you think? Just thinking about makes me excited. But before that happens, we want to save up money for this dream. I am really looking forward to it.

Henderson bridge

The weirdest pedestrian bridge I have ever seen in my life (Internet) is the Henderson waves. It looks like a roller coaster to me. See photo below. Isn’t it? I don’t think I would like to cross this bridge. Oh, well, if I don’t have any choice, I might force myself to walk there. The Henderson Waves is a 118-foot tall. And it is the tallest bridge pedestrian in Singapore. The Henderson Waves is remarkable and unique. The inside is shaped into benches where tourists can sit and gaze at nature or the nearby skyline of Singapore City. The bridge is about 900 feet long. It is light up by an array of LED lights each night to reinforce its snake-like presence.

Buying luggage

November 29, 2010 · Posted in Shopping, travel · Comment

The more you use your luggage, the sooner it will wear down. Durability should be the most important feature of any luggage most especially, if you travel regularly. Cheap luggage does not last long.

I remember when I went to Hong Kong two years ago, I was carrying my luggage  in the City of Kowloon and it broke. Actually, the wheels came off. I was glad that the luggage was still intact otherwise my stuff would be all over the place. From then on, I learned not to buy cheap luggage. I don’t mind investing my money on luggage, like Hartmann Luggage. I just want to have a durable luggage where my stuff is safe.

So, when you purchase luggage, choose one that fits your exact style and that is easier to carry and move. I have been looking for luggage lately and I saw some great deals on Tumi  Luggage. They are considered to be of high quality. I want compare thecost, style, and durability while looking for luggage online. In this case, it will help me select the right luggage for my travel needs. And also it will help me reassure that I purchase the good one. I just have to read lots of consumer reviews on the luggage; I might look into Rimowa Luggage too. Rimowa luggages are made of hard-sided cases that never get bent out of shape. They are sturdy and ultra weight. I should put this in the list.

The Great Blue Hole

October 23, 2010 · Posted in photos, travel · Comment

The Great Blue Hole is a large underwater sinkhole off the coast of Belize. It can be found on both land and in the ocean throughout the Bahamas and the national waters of Belize. It lies near the center of Lighthouse Reef, a small atoll 70 kilometres (43 mi) from the mainland and Belize City. The hole is circular in shape, over 300 metres (984 ft) across and 124 metres (407 ft) deep.[1] It has formed during several episodes of Quaternary glaciation when sea levels were much lower – the analysis of stalactites found in Great Blue Hole shows that formation has taken place 153,000; 66,000; 60,000; and 15,000 years ago. Over time the limestone of the islands was eroded by water and vast cave networks created. When sea levels rose again about 10,000 years ago some of these collapsed inwards and the Blue Holes were formed.
