LG DoublePlay™

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of LG DoublePlay™ for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Christmas will be here before we know it. I’m not planning on sending Christmas cards in the mail this year. I want to save money on stamps and time going to the post office. I would rather send text messages and e-cards to my family and friends. I think it’s a lot easier that way.

By the way, I want to get a new cell phone this holiday. I heard about the LG DoublePlay™. This is exactly I want, an Android touch screen cell phone with full slide-out QWERTY keyboard and Swype® for easy text input and perform multi-tasks. Since I spend 3 hours or so on my facebook, this phone is great to have.

It is really practical to have a mobile phone like this because you can do many tasks at one time. You can check your Twitter, Facebook, email and even send text messages at the same time. One of the great features in this phone is the Cloud Text™ and Group Text™, where you can  send and receive texts from a PC or tablet and make group chats.

The LG Doubleplay™ cell phone comes with a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and a video recorder with 720p high def. I can take and share photos with my family and friends through messages, Facebook or email. This sounds really fun.

LG Doubleplay™ is available exclusively at T-mobile. Oh, I am really excited to get this phone online at T-mobile soon.

How often do you use your phone for texting, checking email or social networking? Do you think LG Doubleplay is worth checking out?

Frustrated with my phone service provider

December 11, 2011 · Posted in Gadgets, technology · Comment

"Internet"

I want to get an Android phone someday. It’s really nice to have a phone like that someday since I really want to pursue in web designing and web development. I mean I can use a smartphone to view and see how my designs look in a smart phone or mobile phone. Actually, my husband got me a used HTC Inspire phone the other week. He bought it at Craigslist. So, we got excited about the phone. Unfortunately, we had to get rid of it. In other words, we sold it. We can’t use it because our service provider (no need to mention it here) will charge us for data plan. We thought we can just use the wifi, but sadly our service provider changed their rules on this. If you are using a smartphone and you don’t have a data plan, they will automatically charge you for data plan. It’s really weird, it’s not even in our cell phone contract. It simply implies that subscribers don’t have the rights to use any smartphone if we don’t have any data plan.

(People need accredited online college degrees from Guide to Online Schools to understand those cell phone contracts!)

It was frustrating on our end. This issue makes us think to try other service providers with no cell phone contract at all. I hope we can find some better offers out there.

Steve Jobs

October 6, 2011 · Posted in Gadgets, People, Society, technology · Comment

I was saddened to hear the news that Steve Jobs died. I knew that he had a rare pancreatic cancer but I didn’t expect that he wouldn’t live much longer. Jobs had a secret liver transplant in 2009. He died at 56. He looked very weak and thin in the last video I saw him a couple of months ago. Steve Jobs is one of the greatest inventors and innovators in the modern technology. He made Apple computer really popular. He was the mastermind of Apple’s iPhone, iPad, iPod, iMac and iTunes. My sympathy and condolence to his family and relatives.
