My baby’s first birthday
Today is my baby’s first birthday. I’m so excited for him. He doesn’t even know it’s his birthday, lol! His first birthday will be cake-free. I know it’s the tradition to have a cake on this occasion but I’m going to do something different. Many parents do let their kids eat cake on their first birthday but not on my kid. No, no, no. I think it’s too early for my baby to have a cake anyway. And I don’t think he really cares for the cake. This is just my opinion and thought. I don’t want my baby to eat that sugary food. I don’t even want to introduce candy or chocolates to him at early age. He can have these later. Anyhow, we are going to celebrate his birthday tomorrow at the zoo. It’s our first time to bring him to the zoo. I think he’s going to enjoy it there.
Off work
It’s really great that my husband is off work for three weeks. We are not planning on going anywhere. We are just going to spend his vacation here at home. It’s going to be a good vacation for us because we are going to move things around the house, get some furniture and make our home baby-proof. I’m excited about it. It would be great if we could chill and go for a road trip or something. I’m so glad that my husband finally realized that we don’t have a big place and we have to save some spaces as much as we can. It was really funny how he thought that we could make a mini gym in our tiny house. I was so glad that he got rid of his exercise gears. I don’t even want to think about how much he invested in those gears. Anyhow, we are going to Home Depot to buy some lighting fixtures. I hope we could find some good ones.
My baby boy is not feeling well
I was so nervous last night when my baby’s temp raised a bit than normal. He had a slight fever last night. It wasn’t 101 , it was just a round 99 degrees Fahrenheit. Since he didn’t seem well and had been waking up a lot last night, in which I wondered before I knew he was hot, so I gave him acetaminophen to help him feel better. I don’t know if it was because I wrapped him so warm last night or something was going with him. I noticed he hasn’t been eating well lately. I don’t know if it’s because he’s teething. But I just hope he doesn’t have any infection or something. I will do whatever I can do to help my son. I hate to see him not feeling well, though he still seems active, playful and smiling.
A gift from Scotland
This is the gift that I was talking about in my previous post. Don’t you think they look really cute? It’s Marks and Spencer baby stuff. I can’t wait for my baby to wear these. They are actually way bigger for my baby, but you know what babies outgrow their clothes really fast.
A package
I was very surprised to receive a package from my friend in UK on Friday. The package was for my son’s birthday, though I think it was too early for him to receive any gifts. His birthday is next month. My friend sent the package earlier because she had a bad experience sending a parcel to me last year. The package took a 7 weeks until I got it. Anyhow, it was so sweet and very nice of her giving those baby stuff to my little guy. I really appreciate it! I will post a photo of the baby stuff in my later post.
