Even Morning People Sometimes Have Trouble Getting Out of Bed

A lot of people simply bounce out of bed at the crack of dawn (or even earlier) full of energized, ready and enthusiasm to manage the day ahead, but for others the story is extremely different. Many people are not, and not will be “morning people”, but the problem is that the vast majority of us can’t enjoy the luxury of lying in bed until 9 or 10 – work happens and there is a time clock waiting for us, or school runs happen, life happens – there just aren’t enough hours left in the day after a good lie-in.

Don’t worry, even if you’re the type of person going to snooze on your own alarm clock and roll over returning to sleep there are some tips and tricks which you can use that will help you in your task.

• Get to bed a little earlier, as soon as you feel tired. I realize, I’m commencing to sound like your Mom but unfortunately it is very true. Don’t be tempted to stay up later than you should in order to complete some project or watch the end of your movie. If you go to bed at roughly the same time each night your body clock will adjust and you’ll be able to drop off to sleep quite easily . . . and more importantly wake up very easily feeling refreshed.

Prior to going to bed – this is a good one, • Pick your clothes out for your following morning. How many times would you lay in bed for a good 5, 10 and even 15 minutes as you can’t visualize a thing to use admit it? It saves having to make any sort of decision so at the beginning of the day.

• Move your alarm clock to the other part of the room – ouch! Most of us are programmed to hit the “snooze” button without even gaining consciousness and that’s bad. That’s the difficulty. If your alarm clock blares out to you from all over the other side in the room you’ll have to get approximately turn it off. I know it’s nasty but nobody said this would be pretty.

• Have a glass water next to your alarm / time clock – and drink it down, the entire glass once you turn off the alarm. This will help your body to appreciate that it is actually time to rise up now. A lot of us need rehydrating in the mornings and this really does help to get out of bed the body and also the brain.

• Get active – okay, so the idea of a 5 mile run may not exactly fill you with the enthusiasm to drag yourself out from bed in the mornings but exercise truly does help you to sleep soundly . . . which actually helps you to get out of bed feeling refreshed the following morning. Running is not required, walking will work, cycling is nice, dancing is great fun and doesn’t need good weather . . . what about your Wii? Do something which involves moving.

• Keep a well stocked bathroom library – many people do the majority of their reading inside the bathroom and if that seems like you, make sure that there’s something interesting for you personally in the mornings as you go about your early biological needs. It can make the whole experience a lot more pleasant and may even encourage you to rise up a few minutes earlier to finish off of the next chapter.

Fundamental for this whole routine is a reliable, good and noisy alarm clock (ideally synchronized together with the one in the workplace that probably was purchased at http://www.thelashop.com) to get your day off to an earlier start.

Ways to eliminate stress this holiday season

It’s Eight (8) day until Christmas Day! Are you excited and looking forward to celebrating Christmas with your family or loved ones? Christmas is the time of the year that I always look forward to enjoying and celebrating with my family.  Holiday shopping is such a big deal for a lot of people. Oftentimes, stress is involved. Honestly, I stressed out a little bit when it comes to shopping gifts for my loved ones. However, we can eliminate or minimize stress on our holiday shopping experience.

First, you have to make a list of options or wish list. The more you plan early, the better results. If you can buy online, then do it!

Second, look for deals and discounts. It is undeniable that most people ended up spending a lot on holiday gifts. You can simply eliminate this stress by knowing your limitations and spending within your means. These are what I do during holiday shopping. I don’t really go over budget.

So, good luck and enjoy shopping!

Interesting Items to “Keep Your Eyes Peeled” For at Goodwill

Everyone loves thrift store shopping; it’s a way to get, for cheap, things that not only fill voids in your life but also could add a little quirk, pizzazz, or personality. For every 99 items that have absolutely no use in your life, there will be that one that makes your house come together. So when you go into a Goodwill, it can be quite overwhelming. There’s racks and racks of clothes, and the back wall has everyone’s old tape stereo systems. Who needs that? However, here are some interesting items to be on the lookout for at Goodwill.

1. Hilarious Ironic Mugs

Ironic mugs
Every home needs good coffee mugs, ones that are hilarious and timeless. No one wants just a boring mug to drink their coffee out of, that’s no way to start a day! If you have keen eyes, you should head to the mug section at Goodwill and wade through the dozens of mugs and you find a gem, almost every time. Something that sticks out in an ironic way, something hilarious, like “Gramma, I love you” with a little heart. Or “My Friend went to [somewhere] and I all I got was this lousy mug.” Someone else’s memory, your new coffee accessory.

2. Vintage Footwear

Used footwear is a tough thing to do well because oftentimes their lifetime is gone by and you will break the shoes too soon. However, if you are on the looking out, you might find a cool bowling shoe or two that will complement your attire and be cool. You don’t wear them to go bowling, you wear them to be hip in the neighborhood. I mean you can get new ones at a place like bowlingshoes.com but for much cheaper you can find a great pair of vintage shoes.

3. Jewelry!

You may not think that there will be any actual usable jewelry to be found at Goodwill, but you would be thinking wrong. Sure, there’s a lot of stuff that you have wade through, but if you are patient and have a good eye, you can find a good bargain on some great jewelry to accentuate any wardrobe. And on top of that, you will impress your friends when they ask you how much you spent and you can say five bucks, at the Goodwill. Everyone has that friend who is always finding the great deals and makes everyone else jealous, you can be that person if you try.

4. Vintage Radios

Sometimes someone’s trash is someone else’s treasure, and things that are old are usually deemed without value even if they maintain some on the trading market. If you have a keen eye, you can find a vintage radio that seems worthless but is indeed a valuable antique. Do some research on name brands to be on the lookout for and when you hit up the Goodwill, you will sometimes find these treasures. You can also google the things you see from your smart phone to find which seemingly worthless hunk of junk is actually a diamond in the rough.

Ways to save us money on gas

I found some very helpful ways to save us money on gas and I have tried these myself. I would like to share here to everyone.

You should buy gasoline during coolest time of day. Early morning or late evening is best. During these times gasoline is thicker. Keep in mind that gas pumps measure volumes of gasoline, not densities of fuel concentration.

Don’t refill your tank until the last quarter tank or wait until you are almost out. By doing this gives you the opportunity to buy more gas. On the other hand, in cold weather, you run an increased risk of condensation in the fuel tank. Running a car with less than a quarter tank can shorten the life of the electric fuel pump and running on almost empty tank will often destroy the pump. This is because it is forced to run constantly trying to pressurize fuel. It often has access to only air. And besides, it is very risky. You don’t know you might get stuck in the middle of nowhere with an empty tank.

Fill up your gas tank all the way. Do it all at once to save time and money.

Lastly, you should park your car in the shade. Don’t you know that gasoline actually evaporates right out of your tank especially when you park your car directly in the sun. Parking in the shade keeps it cooler inside. If there is no shade available at all, park your car facing away from the direct sun.

I hope these ideas help you guys!
