Losing weight takes time but it sure is worth it. We know that overweight or obesity can cause all sorts of health problems or issues, such as, high blood pressure, heart diseases, kidney problems, cancer and many others. Life is short, so we should enjoy it while we can. I have some friends who are overweight and tried losing weight. It took them time until they reached their goals. Losing weight cannot be done overweight so don’t expect immediate results. You can expect your body to lose weight right away.

However, you have to be patient and courageous in this matter. Don’t get frustrated (which is normal) and discouraged too. Don’t compare yourself to others. Some people may lose weight right away, while others don’t. Patience is the key to losing weight.

There are many ways to lose weight. You can undergo surgery, take diet pills to burn fat, workout, control your diet, etc. Pick your choice. But take note you should consult your doctor or primary physician regarding this matter. Your doctor knows your health condition more than you do.

Like I said, losing weight takes time. It may take months and months but you know what, it’s really worthwhile.

Do you like chiles? Chiles give you the heat and the endorphin rush. Aside from that, they are very beneficial to our body.

Chiles are known to reduce stress, minimize facial wrinkles, aids in digestion and circulation, and prevent heart disease. It is just amazing how these hot vegetables can do to our body. And if you want to lose weight, add chiles to your diet and you will the amazing results. Many people lost tons of weight when they add chiles to your diet.

I remember the first time I had chiles, I was surprised with the heat. I must admit that I did not like it at first but as I slowly add chiles to my food I got used to it. Now, I appreciate its taste. And I don’t really mind the heat anymore. I feel more healthy whenever I have chiles on my plate. I love Mexican food and I never missed eating Mexican food without chiles at all. I cook food with chiles too. Undeniably, chiles add flavor to your food.

In fact, I was thinking of planting green chile in our backyard, so I don’t have to buy chiles at the stores. For me, it is much convenient to have some chiles in our backyard. I can easily pick them fresh from the vine. When you eat chiles, the fresh, the better. I would also include hatch chile in my list. I love hatch chiles especially in Spanish food.

Since I don’t have enough time to plant chiles at my backyard, I might want to buy some chiles online. As I browsed the Internet using my favorite search engine, Google (of course) for chiles, I came across hatchnmgreenchile.com. I was amazed that I can fresh chiles from their farm. They are pretty affordable too. So, I will probably order some green chiles soon.

Do you like hot chili peppers? I like certain chili peppers. But I was wondering why chili peppers are hot. Do you wonder too? Well, I found the answer to this. The new research study shows that it has something to do with insects and microbes. Some peppers grow that heat to fight a seed-eating fungus. These fungi eat down the seeds. The scientists noticed that plants in areas with more of the seed-destroying fungus produced more capsaicin—it is a substance that gives the peppers their heat. That is very interesting! Actually, chili peppers are good. It boosts our immune system!

I can’t really afford to eat fresh jalapeño. I’d burn my mouth to death. haha just exaggerating! Actually, pickled jalapeño is so appetizing to me. Jalapeños (Capsicum annum) are a good source of vitamin C, folate and vitamin A. It can boost our immune system. They are popular chili peppers that have a good amount of heat and rich flavor. They are commonly used in Mexican cooking which add a great deal of flavor. However, most people considered jalapeño as being very hot, but it actually varies from mild to hot depending on how and where it was grown and how it was prepared. The heat is more concentrated in the seeds and the veins. I usually don’t eat the veins. If you want to have a milder taste, remove those parts. You can find jalapeños in a can, pickled and sliced. The sliced jalapeños can be milder than fresh ones. But the whole pickled jalapeños are always hot and it is appetizing most especially with carrots.

Don’t you know that there are bad carbohydrates and good carbohydrates? People who are interested in losing weight generally tend to stay away from carbs. But they don’t know how to differentiate bad carbohydrates from good ones. Carbohydrates are mixture of starches, sugar and fiber that offer fuel to the body and breakdown into glucose. Glucose is a type of sugar that our cells use it as source for daily activities. People eat good carbohydrates are less expected to build up body fat. Good carbs can be found whole grains, beans, fruits, and vegetables, which also offer lots of extra health benefits, including heart disease and cancer prevention.

I love fruits and vegetables. My diet is very close to vegetarian. I want to be a vegan someday. I will see if I can endure all meat temptation. Anyhow, fruits and vegetables that are rich in the antioxidant quercetin boost exercise endurance. Quercetin is a powerful antioxidant found in the skins of apples like red apples, red onions, berries, cabbages and broccoli, and green and black teas and some other fruits and vegetables. Quercetin is a compound that is believed to have multiple antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, and cell-energy activation properties that benefit health. I can say that I am out of shape. I need to exercise more and eat fruits and vegetables that are rich in quercetin.

Whenever my stomach growls, all I have to think is to fill my it up right away. Sometimes, I just want something quick, a meal that I don’t have to cook or prepare. I want something that I could just grab and eat it right away. Like for example, I am stuck with loads of work or have to rush somewhere and don’t have time to prepare a meal, and of course, I don’t want to skip a meal, most especially breakfast. Skipping a meal is bad, it can mess up the metabolism. Anyhow, whenever this happens, I just grab a protein bar to satisfy my hunger.

A protein bar is rich in protein and it’s low in carbohydrates. Protein is key and is essentially the building block of life. Protein bars prevent hunger cravings. It can satisfy hunger. They are excellent alternatives to high protein foods. The nice thing about protein bars is they are low in calories. Most bodybuilders and athlete eat protein bars to improve their muscles. They provide energy Protein bar offers energy that fuels the body and maintain the metabolism.

Like I said, they are are an excellent choice for meal replacement and snacking. I love protein bars. I better go and grab one now. I am getting hungry.

I love bananas but I just don’t like to eat it when it’s overripe. What I usually do with them is add them to mixed frozen fruits and make a smoothie. I love bananas – they are sweet and rich in Potassium. Potassium is important for maintaining normal blood pressure and heart function. One banana daily may help you prevent high blood pressure and protect yourself from developing atherosclerosis, which is the hardening of the walls of arteries due to fatty deposits and cholesterol. Bananas also contains antacid that suppressed acid secretion in our digestive system. Well, I gotta go now and make a smoothie.
