The benefits of cannabis

January 31, 2011 · Posted in Health, Legal, Shopping · Comment

Recent studies have shown and proved the benefits of cannabis in the world of medicine. Cannabis is another term for marijuana. It is kind of awkward and uncomfortable when people talk about marijuana because some people abuse it. It was once known as recreational drug. However, there are many benefits that we can get from this medicinal plant. Just don’t abuse it. We all know that anything too much is bad, right? Benefits of medical cannabis have been proven to relieve some minor and major health issues these days. There is a big number of people who believe that medical marijuana has improved their quality of life by relieving them from their pain and diseases. Today, this medicinal plant can be used to treat certain chronically ill patients.

Even doctors and physicians prescribe medical marijuana to patients suffering from illnesses or diseases, like including cancer, multiple sclerosis and glaucoma, HIV/AIDS, arthritis, and many others. However, patients should have a registered medical marijuana card in order to avail this medicinal plant and should get at any licensed and authorized marijuana dispensary.

I know taking this medicinal plant is a matter of opinion. I am not saying and implying that I am in favor of this or not but this plant has helped a lot of people with critical and serious medical conditions and issues. Like I said, don’t abuse it. Whatever is too much is dangerous. But if you use this for you own good then go for it.
Pain is part of life but sometimes, pain can make it harder for people to function their daily life. There are many painkillers available today but it may work for a while. That’s why some people would prefer marijuana to relieve pain due to illness so they can fully and normally function and focus on the things that are important in their lives.

Daily sodium and sugar intake

I have been conscious about my sodium intake lately since I am pregnant. I am in the last trimester of this journey so I really have to be careful with my diet. My OB Doctor told me that my blood pressure, glucose, and weight are normal. I was happy about it yet I still have to be careful with my diet. I just don’t want any complications at the end of my pregnancy. I know some women had complications during childbirth, their blood pressure went high. Anyhow, since we talked about high blood pressure, the Agriculture and Health and Human Services departments issued the latest dietary guidelines Monday, instructing about half the population to reduce daily sodium intake to 1,500 milligrams, or about a half a teaspoon of salt, a day. More plant-based diet loaded with vegetables, fruit and whole grains, the new food rules are recommended to us, consumers. It is also important that we have to reduce the sugar and refined grains in daily diets, like drinking more water instead of sugary drinks. I totally agree with this. I notice the mortality rate every year has increased because of unhealthy diet and lifestyle. It is about time for us to focus on eating healthy and start a good lifestyle in order to avoid or somehow reduce the risk of getting ill.

Nothing on screen

January 31, 2011 · Posted in Computer, Personal · Comment

I did not have a good sleep last night. I woke up at two o’clock in the morning because my stomach was murmuring. Guess what? I was hungry. So, I got up and grab a piece of toast, banana and a cup of warm milk. That was my midnight snack. I did not go back to bed until 3am. What did I do between 2 and 3am. I was in the computer. I checked my email, facebook and my blogs. I put some new entries on my new blogs. Suddenly, my dear pc froze up. The last page I was browsing was abc news. I did not know what happened. I tried Ctrl + Alt + Del to fix it, unfortunately, it did not work. So, I tried to restart the computer, but still it did not work. Finally, I decided to turn off the main switch which was a bad idea. When I turned on the pc, it would not even reboot. There’s nothing on screen, it’s blank. It just says, “No signal”. I wondered what really happened. I hope it is something that can easily be fixed. I really don’t want to spend money on computer parts right now. I just hope my husband would be able to fix my pc soon. This is so frustrating! Right now, I am using our laptop.

Do you love surfing?

January 30, 2011 · Posted in Internet, Shopping · Comment

Do you love surfing? My husband loves surfing though he doesn’t really surf that much anymore especially on cold season. He used to surf a lot when you used to live in Oregon. There are many good beaches in Oregon. He surfed with friends every Sunday. Since he moved here in Southern California, he has not been doing it a lot. But he told me he’s going to surf often someday. He just needs to get a new surfboard. His surfboard is old. I think getting a new surfboard would somehow motivate and encourage him to surf often. So, I checked out online for Surfboards. Actually, I found many surfboards with different styles and colors. I really don’t know what exactly he is looking for but I am going to ask him about it. I would like to buy him a new surfboard. I want to get the best surfboard. It doesn’t need to be fancy. I just want to buy a surfboard that last long and comfortable to use. I think it will be fun. Additionally, he can also teach me. I have never surfed in my entire life. I guess, it is going to challenging on my part. However, I am willing to learn.

Feeling exhausted and tired

January 30, 2011 · Posted in Personal · Comment

I am officially nine months today. Let the countdown begin! I feel very tired and exhausted today. I guess, I have to slow down in doing some chores around the house. It feels like my body is telling me to slow down and take rest in preparation for the Big Day. I need to listen to my body but I still have a lot of things to do. I don’t know where to get my energy. Though, I am extremely tired today, I forced myself to do some chores. I just cannot allow myself seeing how messy our house is. I hope I have energy tomorrow because I badly need it!
