Getting To Know My Half-Brother
This guest post from my friend Stephen Cosgrove
Should I be excited about a half-brother? This is not your ordinary half-brother situation. I recently found out about him using hughesnet satellite internet. I’m 35 and he’s 19. My reaction to finding out about him was curiosity. His reaction to finding out about me was anger and confusion. This made my situation difficult. I wasn’t sure if I should call him and explain myself, or just leave it alone. If I called him, it might make thing worse. But if I left it alone, his angry feelings about me would linger. Eventually, I opted to write him via online. This ended up working out pretty well.
His name is George. That’s about all I knew about him prior to our communications. Once we started writing back and forth via my hughesnet in north dakota, I found out that he has a great passion for sailing and flying airplanes. Yes, he is flying airplanes at 19 years old. That’s very impressive. He’s also into acting and dancing. This is very surprising to me, considering I’m one of the worst actors and dancers on the planet. I’m such a bad actor that people like watching me. Anyway, getting back to George. We have made somewhat of a connection. Keep in mind the age difference. His priorities are very different from mine right now. However, I do hope that we can meet and get to know each other a little bit. That would be neat.
