Skin-tight jeans or skinny jeans may cause a temporary nerve condition or tingling thigh syndrome called meralgia paresthetica. This condition can happen when steady pressure from the skin-tight denim. It cuts off the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve, thus, causing a numb, tingling or burning sensation feeling along the thigh. Some nerves on thighs are very vulnerable to compression. Anything that is tight around there could potentially compress the nerve that goes there.
